A documentary about ambition, community and hope. "For the Love of the Game" follows English non league side Garforth Town in their pursuit of on field success and off field sustainability.
This documentary focuses on backroom staff, directors and volunteers at non league clubs, offering a unique perspective at the lower end of English football. From the struggles of attracting fans to the financial difficulties bad weather brings.
Although the focus is off the field activity, the success of Garforth Town on the pitch inevitably comes into frame. We explore how players, managers and backroom staff balance semi professional football with their normal working lives.
